I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
